This team building event takes you through a journey from sketch to design of haute couture. Your team will go through an adventure to create the most stylish outfit and to outperform competing teams on the cat walk.

Bring out the fashionistas, creativionatos, design enthusiasts, fashion gurus and outside the box thinkers from all your departments.

Models choose their preferred music for the runway and practice the fashion walk. They then compete in front of a larger audience for the crown of House of Fashion. The models and fashions are then judged by the jury and the other teams in order to determine and announce the winning team. This is often accompanied by jubilating cheers.

Teams must plan and design their route to local markets and locations noted in their tablets in order to purchase all items on the shopping list provided in their tablet tasks. Following this, teams must make their way to our culinary school to learn how to blend their regional ingredients into delicious dishes. Points are scored for getting the correct ingredients from the correct locations, achieving local cultural understanding, and creating their dishes.

Teams are judged for their culinary presentation and deliciousness. The final tally will be presented at the end of the event.

The Game

Inspired by Rube Goldberg’s unique vision for unleashing creativity, our Chain Reaction event stimulates creativity and team collaboration. This program creates an exhilarating and high-energy environment, requiring participants to combine strategy, imagination, and hands-on action.

Teams work separately and together in this program to create the longest continually moving chain possible with the space and materials available. Teams are provided with a budget to purchase materials from the depot in order to build their section of the chain in their allocated space.

Once all team chain sections are completed and all connected, the chain is begun by activating the starting point with a ball or other movement which sets off a continuous reaction along the entire chain, until the final item is triggered which releases a company banner drop down to celebrate the success of the project.

The Objectives

Teams of approximately 10 get a station area to build a section chain reaction that must stay within their station for at least 15 second before moving to the next team. This requires collaboration, communication, planning and thinking outside the box to enable a successful design of their section of the entire chain. Materials like sticks, marbles, balloons, switches, dominos, balls, elastic bands, etc. can be obtained from the depot.

The Best

While this event encourages team collaboration, awards are given to teams for successfully completing correlated quests such as ‘the longest surviving chain section’, ‘most creative design’, and ‘no restart’. Other quests can be designed to strengthen your company values, brand or similar.

The Game

Humankind has long understood that bridges are imperative for our wellbeing and comfort due to the trade and communication it can facilitate. The term ‘bridge’ in fact, is often used to describe non-physical structures to explain bonding between entities. Poor communication lies at the root of many problems, leading to mistakes, quality problems, conflict, missed deadlines, and lost opportunities.

Our Bridges Challenge addresses these issues through setting an environment indoors or outdoors for teams to improve skills in problem solving, communication, creative thinking, and cooperation.

The Objectives

Teams must each build a bridge to compete against each other. Or a variation is for teams to build a single bridge together in parts with restrictions on available means of communication. In both events, a minimum set height and a minimum set span will be provided at the onset which must be completed. The finished bridge or bridges must then successfully support a weighted model car to cross on completion.

Teams must discuss together how to build their bridge using the items they have chosen from various materials provided on the day.
